Assistant Professor in Finance
The Farmer School of Business at Miami University is seeking
qualified applicants for two tenure-track positions in finance at the
Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall of 2014. We welcome
applicants from any area of finance. Miami University's Farmer School
of Business ranks in the top 25 undergraduate business programs and
occupies a state of the art business building. The Farmer School of
Business is AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate
levels. Salary is competitive and dependent on the qualifications of
the applicant.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The job duties include teaching assignments at the
undergraduate and graduate level at the Oxford campus and/or our MBA
program in West Chester, Ohio (a northern suburb of Cincinnati),
maintaining an active research program targeted at leading journals
in the field, and providing service to the university.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Candidates should have a doctorate in
finance or financial economics or a dissertation in process with
completion of degree by December 31, 2014. Prefer: Candidates with
evidence supporting a commitment to high quality teaching and with
potential for high quality research targeted at leading journals in the field.
