newly created Steven Grossman Endowed Chair in Finance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have an established
record as an outstanding scholar and demonstrate a continuing
commitment to produce high-quality research in financial economics.
Working within the School of Business Administration, the Steven
Grossman Endowed Chair in Finance is expected to raise the visibility
of the School of Business Administration at the University of
Vermont, provide leadership, and build industry relationships. The
position offers a reduced teaching load, discretionary research
funds, and AACSB competitive salary and benefits. Strong candidates
at the associate/full level will be considered.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The School of Business Administration cultivates
and supports about 30 tenured or tenure-track faculty dedicated to
management education, research and practice. The University of
Vermont is located in Burlington, VT, a small but culturally vibrant
and picturesque city that sits on the east side of Lake Champlain
with the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondack Mountains
across the lake to the west. Vermont is home to a number of globally
competitive sustainable businesses, with over 14% of the state's
workforce employed by member organizations of Vermont Businesses for
Social Responsibility (http://vbsr.org/about_vbsr/). The School of
Business has established relationships with several sustainable
businesses in Vermont and elsewhere that have partnered with our
faculty to conduct research and create engaging experiences in the
classroom. The new faculty chair will cultivate existing
relationships and expand our outreach to other sustainable businesses.
