Finance Faculty Position Fall 2014

The University of Akron invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank available in August 2014 to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in all or some of the following areas: corporate finance, security analysis, risk management and other courses in finance. The position is flexible to accommodate other teaching and research interests. The position is subject to funding.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or D.B.A. with specialization in Finance from an AACSB-accredited program. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered. Candidates should have potential for excellent teaching and research. Business experience is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The University of Akron emphasizes teaching. In addition, candidates must have a commitment to research which leads to quality refereed publications. The university provides excellent support for faculty research including WRDS. Service to the university and the profession is also expected.
