Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Finance

Finance at the University of Otago has a long history and the Department is known for its excellence in research and teaching. Our Faculty is internationally recognised for their scholarly contributions in the fields of International Finance Management, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: We particularly seek new colleagues with research strengths in investments, supported by practical experience in the investment industry. However we encourage applications from people who research in all finance related themes.

Applicants for these posts would preferably be qualified at PhD level, and will show clear evidence or at least strong potential for internationally-rated publications, and a willingness to seek external research funds. The successful appointees will be expected to contribute towards teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The preferred starting date for the successful applicant will be December 2013 at the latest. The Department's first priority is to gain quality appointees, and every effort will be made to accommodate them.
