Faculty Position in Finance

The Department of Finance at the American University of Sharjah invites applications for a full-time OR visiting faculty position starting the Spring 2013. Appointments at the assistant and associate professor levels will be considered. The University's benefits package is comprehensive with a competitive free-of-tax salary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: All candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in finance from an AACSB-accredited university, preferably North-American. Assistant professors must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing research and teaching in the field of finance. A successful candidate must be able to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: The application deadline is August 15th, 2013. Candidates should submit proper documentation to DeanofSbm@aus.edu. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Applications at this stage will need to include in PDF format a cover letter and a full curriculum vitae. Later in the process, successful candidates will be asked to provide at least one working paper, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, current and future research interests, some evidence of excellence in teaching, and contact information for three references.
