Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance (Position #003346)

The Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track or tenured assistant or associate professor position in the Finance area at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants with expertise and interest in quantitative finance, corporate finance and banking are especially desired.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: At minimum, candidates for Assistant Professor must have a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Finance or closely related field from a program with a strong research orientation. Candidates must exhibit, through their accomplishments, promise of future distinction in scholarship and education and evidence of research potential and teaching effectiveness is required. Applicants for the title of Associate Professor must meet the educational requirements of the Assistant Professor, and also must demonstrate a record of the following accomplishments, achieved over a minimum of three (3) years of professional academic experience. Accomplishments include: an emerging national and/or international reputation; high quality educational activities including teaching and advising; service to the department, the University, and the profession.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND DEPARTMENT: The Finance and Accounting area has 10 faculty members with plans to expand in the near future. The Lally School of Management offers B.S. MBA, Masters of Financial Engineering and Risk Analytics, and a Ph.D. program in Management that includes finance and accounting concentrations.
