Visiting Professor for Finance

Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management Finance Department is seeking to fill a faculty position for a Visiting Professor for Finance at the Whitman School.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance (e.g., corporate finance, investments, derivatives, international finance, quantitative finance, risk management), mentor PhD students, engage in high quality scholarly research.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a PhD in finance or a closely related quantitative field with a record of quality scholarly research. The candidate is expected to demonstrate effective teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level in corporate finance and investments. Courses are delivered either online or in a traditional classroom setting. Candidates will be evaluated according to the overall quality of their academic preparation and scholarly work, evidence of commitment to teaching and skills as a teacher. Commitment to excellence in teaching is mandatory.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
