Senior Faculty Positions in Finance

The PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University invites applications for full time, tenured associate professor and full professor positions, including chair professor for the 2013/14 academic year.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The predecessor of the PBC School of Finance was the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China, which was established in 1981 by the People's Bank of China. The Graduate School distinguished itself from other institutions by producing graduates who either play major roles in economic-policy making or who take leading positions in the Chinese banking and financial industry.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, the PBC School of Finance was founded on March 29th, 2012. The establishment of the school is built on the collaboration between the People's Bank of China and Tsinghua University.

The PBC School of Finance is committed to building itself into a world-class financial institute, cultivating professional talents for financial sectors, and providing policy advice for the government. The school calls for a significant growth in well-qualified faculties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in finance, economics, or a related discipline and are expected to have an established record for publication in the top-tier journals in Finance and/or Economics. Applicants must have a full-time senior faculty position at a University (or academic credentials to support appointment with tenure) and a commitment to excellent teaching in financial economics. Applicants with international academic reputation are especially encouraged to apply for the chaired full-professorship positions.

SALARIES: The school offers competitive salaries and research support.
