Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor
Wright State University is accepting applications for the position of Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Financial Services. The position is for one-year only beginning August 21, 2013 and ending May 3, 2014.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate will possess outstanding teaching skills for both undergraduate and graduate courses in Financial Management, Investments, and Financial Services, although candidates with both a research and teaching focus will be the basis for the permanent tenure track position in Finance and Financial Services that is tentatively planned for the Fall of 2014. All faculty must also perform customary service, including working within programs and departments, attending department meetings, serving on department and college committees, performing routine service, assisting in developing and coordinating the curriculum, and participating in program assessment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Documented outstanding teaching abilities
- At least 2 years of college-level teaching experience
- A Ph.D. in hand or in progress at least ABD
- Excellent communication skills
- Documented ability to relate to and motivate undergraduate students
- Experience with online teaching
Preference will be given to those with evidence of extraordinary teaching, strong computer skills, experience delivering online courses, and the ability to collaborate with faculty on research.
