University Lecturership in Accounting

Applications are invited for the post of University Lecturer in Accounting within the Said Business School at the University of Oxford. The post will be held in association with a Non-Tutorial Fellowship at Green Templeton College.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will join our faculty of Finance, Accounting, Management Science and Economics (FAME) and will be an excellent scholar and teacher of Accounting with a background in one of the social sciences. The objective of the University in making the appointment is to develop and strengthen its research capacity, to provide first-rate teaching and, more generally, to enhance the national and international profile of the Said Business School as a leading centre of business and management scholarship.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have doctorate in a relevant discipline, an outstanding programme of research in Accounting and a track record of internationally excellent publications in highly-ranked, peer reviewed academic journals, commensurate with the candidate's career stage. She or he will be expected to engage in original, world-class research in Accounting, secure research funding and engage in the management of research projects as well as to disseminate her/his research through publication in highly-ranked, peer reviewed journals, participation in international conferences and seminars and through other media, and to demonstrate impact in research and, through this, to inform business practice. She or he should have a commitment to outstanding and innovative teaching and will be required to give lectures and classes on taught graduate courses, including the MBA, Executive MBA, tutorials and lectures on undergraduate courses and to supervise masters' and doctoral students. Salary range British Pound 42,883 - 57,581 (a salary supplement would be considered to secure the appointment of the best candidate). The post is tenable from 1st September 2013 and is a tenure-track position.
