Faculty Positions in Finance
As part of its continuing growth, the ICMA Centre is seeking to fill two positions in Finance - one Lectureship (L) and one Senior Lectureship (SL). The Centre's activities are focused on the financial markets and the successful applicant will have attributes that fit in with this specialism.
ABOUT THE ICMA CENTRE: The Centre is an integral part of the triple accredited Henley Business School at the University of Reading. The Centre occupies a striking, purpose-designed building, built with a British Pound 10 million donation from the ICMA (which is the trade association for some 500 international banks and securities houses). The ICMA Centre is a leader in financial research, undertaking research and consultancy projects in a variety of areas, including asset pricing and portfolio management, corporate finance and corporate governance, financial econometrics, historical finance, and market microstructure. The town of Reading is situated on the river Thames, enjoys excellent communication links, is close to Heathrow (the UK's major airport) and just 25 minutes by train from central London. As a mark of its esteem, the 2013 European Financial Management Association conference is to be held at the ICMA Centre.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:We seek candidates for the L and SL in Finance (equivalent to Assistant and Associate Professorship respectively) who can demonstrate the potential to develop into an excellent researcher. Candidates will be expected to have published (for the SL), or be expecting to publish(L) in leading journals, and to have completed (SL) or be close to completing (L) a PhD. All candidates must have significant teaching abilities to both academic and professional audiences and be willing to apply for external research income.
