Post-Doctoral Positions in Finance
The Centre for Finance (CFF) at University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit one or two post-docs in Finance during 2013. The position is two years (full-time).
During 2010 CFF applied for and received a large grant from VINNOVA for starting an interdisciplinary research program on financial markets. Today, roughly 20 researchers are affiliated with the Centre and we offer excellent research and travel support. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should hold a recent PhD in finance or be close to finishing their thesis. "Recent" usually means three years but parental leave and other circumstances may be taken into account and should be stated in the application. Research potential is our key selection criterion for the advertised position. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out research suitable for publication in leading or highly ranked field and general financial economics journals. Research interests within the main research areas at the Centre (corporate governance, financial institutions and credit risk, behavioral and experimental finance, venture capital/ private equity, and financial econometrics) are considered an advantage. Ability to cooperate and personal suitability are also important criteria.
ENVIRONMENT: The positions mainly consist of research within finance. The Centre will require involvement in a limited amount of teaching and supervision, the terms of which will be agreed later. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the position no later than August 2013. Part of the University of Gothenburg, the Centre provides a stimulating research environment and is located in the heart of Gothenburg, a city rated highly for its living quality.
