Auckland Centre for Financial Research
The Auckland Centre for Financial Research has a strong focus on empirical finance research and currently has vacancies for two postdoctoral researchers in finance. In addition, the Centre is offering two scholarships for doctoral students.
Post-Doctoral and PhD Positions
JOB DESCRIPTION POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER: The successful applicant will have completed (or be near completion) of a PhD in finance or related field and has very strong empirical skills in any finance-related field. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will make significant contributions to joint projects with members of the Centre. In addition, it is expected that the applicant will bring forth other research projects and apply for external research funding. It is preferred that the applicant has strong econometric software/programming skills. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and should be able to work well as part of a research team.

PHD SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is to support doctoral students who wish to complete their PhD in the area of empirical finance/applied financial econometrics. The scholarship covers full-time student doctoral fees at AUT University for three years plus an annual stipend of $25,000. Applicants are required to have a Masters Degree or Honours degree in a discipline related to Finance, Economics or Econometrics.
