The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) invites finance candidates to apply for faculty positions at all levels - Assistant, Associate and Full Professor - in the Department of Finance. We have a preference for applicants with an interest in the area of empirical asset pricing, but will consider all candidates within financial economics. Expected starting date is August of 2013. The teaching load is extremely competitive and the salary is comparable with European business schools. Qualified senior candidates may be eligible for matching salary grants from Norges Bank through its Norwegian Finance Initiative (NFI).
Faculty Position in Finance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a proven research record or, for the Assistant Professor level, have strong research potential and have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: NHH is a first-rate European business school with a strong research tradition, located in beautiful surroundings just outside downtown Bergen. It is the top school for business students in Norway and has a unique relationship to the Norwegian business and financial community. The school has about 130 full-time faculty members and close to 3,000 students. The finance group is strongly dedicated to research and has about 15 faculty members. Courses are offered at the undergraduate, master, and doctorate levels. Teaching languages are English and Norwegian.
