Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management
Two Lecturer Positions in Finance

The Department of Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University invites applications for two Lecturer positions. Starting dates are flexible, but preferably January or February 2013.

JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS: The Lecturer positions involve a teaching task, where the candidate will supervise MSc students' theses and teach workshops in our MSc and BSc programs. The MSc Finance & Investments program is a one-year general finance curriculum, where students follow compulsory and elective courses and write a thesis. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate an interest in teaching at the BSc and MSc level, jointly with an interest in academic research. We expect the candidate to have a sound background in finance, demonstrated by an MSc or PhD degree. CFA charter holders are particularly welcome to apply, because our MSc Finance & Investment has a program partnership status with the CFA Institute.

The Lecturer appointment initially is a two-year position, which can be extended for another two-year period twice. The salary includes several secondary benefits (such as a pension plan that is partially funded by the university). Favorable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch applicants.

We offer opportunities for lecturers to further develop teaching and research skills. The position allows for research activities.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University is consistently ranked among Europe's top 10 business schools (by, among others, The Financial Times and SSRN). With 250 senior researchers and 100 Ph.D. students, the School has one of the world's largest and most cited business school faculties.

The Department of Finance at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM Finance) has a large, young, and highly international faculty educated at renowned institutions in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. We have a strong research tradition and international orientation, as evidenced by publications in top journals, a U.S. style Ph.D. program, participation in major conferences, international cooperation, and research visits to leading U.S. schools.

RSM Finance is part of the Erasmus Finance Group, which also includes faculty of the Erasmus School of Economics.
