University Professor of Public Finance

The University of Innsbruck invites applications for the position of University Professor of Public Finance at the Department of Public Finance of the Faculty of Economics and Statistics. The position will be based on a permanent civil-law employment contract with the University.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Applicants will be expected to:
- do research and publish in the field of Public Finance on a national and international level with a focus on federalism, fiscal transfer systems, public debt and/or institutional competition
- participate in the research centres and the research platform of the faculty, focussing especially on "Empirical and Experimental Economics" and "Environmental Economics and Regional Development"
- teach Public Finance at all levels of studies (Bachelor-, Master- and PhD-Program)
- participate in academic administration and self-governance

a) a pertinent degree in higher education in Austria or the equivalent abroad;
b) a pertinent 'habilitation' or comparable qualification (e.g. senior lectureship or associate professorship);
c) publications in international peer-reviewed academic journals;
d) proven involvement in international research;
e) pronounced teaching skills;
f) experience in raising external research funds;
g) leadership qualifications.

FURTHER INFORMATION: The basic salary is set down in the collective bargaining agreement for university employees. Professors are in the remuneration group A 1.
