The Federal Reserve Board of Governors has openings for financial economists in a variety of units involved in domestic and international research, monetary policy, bank supervision and policy development, and payment systems. Ph.D. in economics, finance or related field required; candidates currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program must be nearing the completion of their dissertation.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Financial economists produce research and current analysis on a wide array of finance topics including: domestic and international financial markets, financial stability, institutions and structure; banking; risk management and capital adequacy; financial risk modeling; asset pricing; derivative pricing and markets; consumer and business financial decision-making; payment systems; systemic risk; financial econometrics; the relationship between the financial sector and aggregate economic activity; and monetary policy. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in economics, finance or related field required; candidates currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in must be nearing the completion of their dissertation. Citizenship status may be a consideration for some positions.
