Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Accounting and Finance at California State University, East Bay invites applications for a Full-Time Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor (OAA Position Number: 13-14 ACFN-FINANCE-TT).

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Accounting and Finance offers undergraduate and graduate coursework in different areas of business including: Accounting, Finance, Real Estate and Taxation. The College offers various undergraduate and graduate programs leading to bachelor's degrees in Business Administration with 14 different options and master's degrees (MBA, MS and MA), all of which are fully accredited by WASC and AACSB. These programs include online-only degree programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Will teach and conduct research in the area of Finance especially in Corporate Finance and (1) Risk and Insurance, (2) Entrepreneurial Finance, or (3) Quantitative Financial Modeling. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward, Concord and Online campuses. Research responsibilities include engaging in related research and scholarly activities. In addition to teaching and research, all faculty have advising responsibilities, assist the department with administrative and/or committee work, and are expected to assume campus-wide committee responsibilities.

RANK AND SALARY: Full-time, tenure-track position at Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience and subject to budgetary authorization.

The candidate must have a record demonstrating teaching excellence and evidence of scholarly activity. Business experience, as well as professional certification, is desirable.
