The Department of Finance at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for the position of an Associate Professor/Professor beginning Fall 2013 as well as a Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2013.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OR PROFESSOR (ONE POSITION):
- Required Qualifications: (1) Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline, (2) substantial and continuing program of high-quality finance research published in high impact, peer-reviewed scholarly journals commensurate with the desired rank, (3) evidence of effective teaching and an interest in teaching at the Ph.D. level, (4) commitment to directing doctoral research projects and working with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds, and (5) the ability and desire to contribute to the service requirements of the institution.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TENURE-TRACK) OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (ONE POSITION):

- Required Qualifications (Assistant Professor rank): (1) Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline, (2) strong evidence or promise of scholarly research and effective teaching, and (3) the ability and desire to work collegially with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications: Scholarly training and/or research in the area of financial institutions. Ability to teach in this area.

- Required Qualifications (Associate Professor rank): (1) Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline, (2) substantial and continuing program of high-quality research published in high impact, peer-reviewed scholarly finance journals, (3) evidence of effective teaching, (4) the ability and desire to work collegially with faculty and students including those at the Ph.D. level, and (5) the ability and desire to contribute to the service requirements of the institution. Preferred Qualifications: Scholarly training and/or high quality scholarly research publications in the area of financial institutions, and effective teaching in this area.
