The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Neeley School of Business beginning August 2013. The Neeley School supports and expects research published in high quality finance (and related) journals and high quality teaching. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and MBA courses in finance. The applicant should have teaching and research interests in multiple areas of finance.

The Department of Finance has 14 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in the leading finance journals. In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance and other leading journals. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance. Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D., or equivalent, in Finance is required. Ph.D. candidates who will complete their degree before beginning employment will be considered. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and strong research potential is required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
