In the 2008 RAE Essex Business School was ranked 2nd in the Accounting and Finance Unit of Assessment and 90% of the research output submitted was graded as international quality. The Finance Group in Essex Business School has an international reputation for leading edge research in empirical finance, behavioural finance and banking. To further develop our current teaching and research activities, we are seeking to make an additional appointment in the field of Finance.
Reader/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Finance (Ref. ACR732)
JOB DESCRIPTION: You will play an important role in the development of teaching, research, collaboration and administrative activities in the Business School, specifically you will be expected to develop both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and enhance the school's research profile regionally, nationally and internationally.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: For Lecturer level appointments applicants should have a postgraduate degree in banking, finance or a related discipline, evidence of research output, either published or publishable, of peer-reviewed international quality and experience of teaching, or demonstrable potential for achieving this. For appointments at Reader/Senior Lecturer level experience of leading in the development of new teaching programmes in finance or banking together with a strong record of high quality research publications and a proven track record of raising research funds is essential.

Salary in the range: British Pound 37,012-52,706 per annum
