ABOUT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL: The Business School brings together three Subject Areas of Accounting & Finance, Economics and Management. The School undertakes high quality research and scholarship and attracts large numbers of very well qualified undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the world. ACCOUNTING & FINANCE: Accounting & Finance is a broad-based discipline, with research strengths in finance, management accounting and financial accounting. The discipline was ranked in the 2008 RAE as the top Scottish Accounting & Finance submission and 5th in the UK. 80% of its research activity was judged to be of international quality with 10% rated as world-leading.

JOB DESCRIPTION: For our current recruitment round, we welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates in any area of Accounting or Finance. Positions are available at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professorial levels. We would especially welcome applications from candidates with a background in the research and teaching of auditing, financial reporting or finance.

PROFESSORS IN ACCOUNTING & FINANCE (Ref. 001625): The successful applicants will provide academic leadership in the field of Accounting or Finance by undertaking and promote world-class research. You will provide research leadership in one or more of the key fields in Accounting & Finance, and contribute actively to enhancing the research profile and reputation of the Business School. You will make a contribution to teaching and supervision both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

READER/SENIOR LECTURER (Ref. 001627)/LECTURER (Ref. 001628): You will undertake high-quality research and actively contribute to teaching. Applications are welcomed from candidates qualified in any field of Accounting or Finance.

SALARY: The salaries offered will normally be within the following bands, although there may be a degree of flexibility in relation to the overall remuneration package on account of the subject discipline/specialism.
- Professor: Salary Negotiable
- Reader/Senior Lecturer: Grade 9 British Pound 46,846 - 57,581
- Lecturer: Grade 7 British Pound 31,948 - 39,257/Grade 8 British Pound 39,257 - 49,689
