Finance Faculty Positions
The Department of Finance has vacancies for a Lecturer. The
full-time continuing appointments are combined research and
teaching appointments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The Lecturer will be near completion or have completed a
PhD in finance and have a strong research agenda indicating
the ability to publish in high quality finance journals.
Applicants must have the ability to satisfactorily teach at
all levels.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department of Finance at The University of Melbourne
has over 1250 full-time equivalent students enrolled in
undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Department is
actively involved in executive education and has strong
professional links through the Melbourne Centre for
Financial Studies. The Department hosts the Melbourne
Derivatives Research Group, a research network focused on
derivatives-related research. To support its many research
activities, the Department subscribes to a large number of
financial databases, including WRDS, SDC, Datastream,
Bloomberg and IRESS. There is an ongoing program of
prominent international visiting academics. For further

APPOINTMENT TERMS:
Salary ranges for a Lecturer - A$73, 863 to A$87,710 p.a;
plus employer superannuation contributions of 17 percent,
salary packaging options and staff training and development
opportunities. Non-superannuable loadings guaranteed for a
period of three years will be negotiated depending on
