     Korea University Business School (KUBS) -
     http://biz.korea.ac.kr - is seeking qualified applicants
     for tenure-track faculty positions in finance at all ranks.
     The position is initially for a three-year term with the
     possibility of an extension for further years and tenure.
     The appointment starts on September 1, 2010.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     An earned Ph.D. in Finance or a related field is required.
     ABDs can be considered, provided that the degree will be
     earned by the appointment date. A strong commitment to
     excellence in research is expected.



     JOB DESCRIPTION:


     The teaching responsibility of a tenure-track professor is
     six credit hours (usually two courses) each semester. The
     courses to be taught include all areas in Finance, and it
     is also encouraged to develop/teach courses specialized in
     Asian Emerging markets.



     COMPENSATION:


     Competitive salary and research support will be provided.



     ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY:


     Korea University is located in Seoul, the capital of Korea,
     and is linked by Seoul metro subway system. KUBS,
     accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS and with more than 90
     full-time faculty members, is the largest business school
     in Korea. KUBS has approximately 2,500 undergraduate
     students, 650 students in MBA, 200 students in MS program,
     and 70 Ph.D. students in various majors such as Accounting,
     Finance, International Business, Marketing, Management,
     MIS, and Logistics Services and Operation Management.



     ABOUT THE FINANCE AREA:


     Finance field has currently 14 full-time faculty members
     and is planning to actively increase its size. In a recent
     survey by Arizona State University, the KUBS finance
     faculty has been ranked in the 66th in terms of the number
     of publications in top four finance journals from 1996
     through 2004 and in the 47th from 2003 through 2004.
