         Faculty Positions in Finance and Real Estate Finance



     The Business School of the University of Amsterdam is
     seeking candidates at all levels for its internationally
     renowned Finance Group section. We welcome applications
     from excellent candidates in Finance and Real Estate
     Finance.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     For junior applicants, requirements are a PhD (awarded or
     close to completion), the ability to engage in high-quality
     research and to stimulate and encourage the research of
     others. Assistant Professor appointments are tenure-track
     positions, to become tenured upon good research and
     teaching performance. Applicants for senior positions
     should have documented excellence in teaching and research
     through publications in top international journals.



     ABOUT THE FINANCE GROUP:


     The Finance Group at the University of Amsterdam is one of
     the top research-oriented finance departments in Europe. It
     has an outstanding group of academics researching in
     finance and real estate and it is fiercely international,
     with researchers from 14 countries. The Finance Group runs
     an intense academic seminar series with prominent speakers
     from top international universities. It also has a very
     active program of visitors and international conferences
     every year, thanks to strong links to the US, where many
     staff members have studied or taught previously, and
     Europe, where the Group participates in several top

     The Finance Group offers undergraduate and graduate
     courses, an MBA and the Master in International Finance.
     The teaching load is reasonable and can be concentrated
     both in time and in preparations.


     The University is located in the centre of Amsterdam in
     modern facilities. Amsterdam is a very friendly city in
     Europe with an exceptionally high quality of life. Almost
     everyone in the Netherlands speaks good English. The
     compensation package is competitive relative to European
     salaries. Favourable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch
     applicants.
