     The Department of Economics at Radboud University Nijmegen
     is currently expanding its activities in Finance, in
     particular Corporate Finance. We seek applicants at the
     full professor level but welcome applications at the
     associate level too. Though we invite good applicants from
     all areas of finance, we are particularly interested in
     extending teaching and research capacity in the field of
     Corporate Finance.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     Candidates must hold a PhD and have a high potential in
     terms of academic research and teaching. We require a
     demonstrated track record of high quality publications in
     peer reviewed journals. The successful candidate should be
     able and willing to share in the department's management.
     We prefer applicants who share our multidisciplinary
     approach to economics in general and finance in particular.



     ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:


     The department of Economics consists of four Chairs:
     Economic Theory and Policy, International Economics,
     Finance, and Accounting. The department is responsible for
     the development and quality of the bachelor and master-
     programmes in economics, as well as courses in economics in
     the other educational programmes offered by the faculty.
     The BA in Economics consists of three specializations:
     Business Economics, Finance, and International Economics.
     There are four specializations in the MA programme:
     Accounting and Control, International Economics and
     Business, International Economics, and Finance. Both the
     curriculum in Economics and the Department's research are
     characterized by a multidisciplinary approach, whereby in
     addition to the economics discipline, inspiration is sought
     from other areas, such as psychology, sociology, and
     philosophy.



     ABOUT THE FACULTY:


     The Nijmegen School of Management is an academic center of
     research and higher learning, particularly in the area of
     managerial and institutional issues within complex
     organizations in both the public and private domain. Seven
     different focus areas exist within the faculty: Business
     Administration, Public Administration, Political Science,
     Economics, Social and Political Sciences of the
     Environment, Human Geography and Spatial Planning. The
     faculty employs 250 full-time staff, of whom 200 are
     academics and 2,500 students are enrolled  in its various
     educational programmes.



     ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY:


     Radboud University Nijmegen was founded in 1923 and is one
     of the six general research universities in The
     Netherlands. It hosts nine faculties, among which theology,
     natural sciences, and a medical school. More than 18,000
     students are enrolled in the various programmes. The entire
     staff is slightly less than 5,000. Some of its research
     institutes are world famous, such as the Donders Centre for
     Neuroscience and the Max Planck Institute for
     Psycholinguistics. The university is located at a green
     campus with excellent facilities in the southern part of
     Nijmegen. Nijmegen is the oldest town of the Netherlands.
