                       Financial Economist



     The Research Department invites applications from
     financial economists in the areas of financial
     institutions, financial markets, asset pricing, and
     risk management.



     JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS:


     Economists are expected to produce high-quality research
     for publication in academic journals and high-level
     analysis for presentation in Bank publications and
     briefings. Excellent communication skills are essential.
     The Department offers an outstanding research environment.
     Post-doctoral academic or professional research experience
     is desirable, but applications from new Ph.D.s will be
     considered. Candidates must have legal authorization to
