Master of Finance

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The new Schulich Master of Finance is a 12 month full-time
program. You'll become an expert in all areas of finance.
You'll work with faculty who conduct cutting-edge research
in the field and learn from leading practitioners in
finance and financial services. As well, you'll be exposed
to the broader governance, legal, regulatory and global
frameworks that impact financial decision-making.
The Schulich Master of Finance will open up career options
ranging from investment banking and asset management to
private equity firms, hedge funds, consulting firms and
government agencies. You'll develop a solid understanding
of the finance function in organizations of all sizes.
You'll master the full range of finance functions from
"buy" to "sell", including investments, risk management,
financial management, venture capital, private equity and
more. In addition to the career advantage you'll gain from
the breadth and depth of Schulich's Master of Finance,
you'll also profit from valuable hands-on experience doing
research projects using various financial databases.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:
- A strong background in economic theory, strong
communication skills and adequate training in mathematics
and statistics (including a full year of university-level
calculus)
- An undergraduate honours degree from a recognized
university in economics, commerce or engineering with at
least a B+ average in the last two full years (or
equivalent) of academic work
- Acceptable scores on all GMAT or GRE measures
- Relevant work experience is preferred but not strictly
required
- Three letters of reference, at least two of which must be
from current or former professors
- Excellent command of English: proof of English language
proficiency if English was not the language of degree
study
DEADLINE:
The early application deadline is February 1st and the
final deadline is May 1st. We encourage international visa
students to apply by the early deadline.
