Faculty Position in Finance
The Said Business School, University of Oxford, invites
applications for one faculty position in Finance.
Commensurate with rank, candidates should demonstrate
excellence or potential excellence in research and
teaching. We welcome applications from candidates working
in financial economics, including corporate finance,
corporate governance, law and finance, regulation and
financial institutions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have (or be expected soon to have) a
Ph.D. in finance, financial economics or economics. We seek
candidates with a strong research orientation.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
The Said Business School is part of the University of
Oxford. The School runs undergraduate programmes, jointly
taught with the Departments of Economics and Engineering,
and graduate programmes including the MBA, Masters in
Financial Economics, and the new Masters in Law and
Finance.
Currently, the finance group in the Business School has 15
members from a variety of international backgrounds.

There is a strong research orientation and there are
regular workshops and seminars in finance. There is an
active doctoral programme in finance that is run in
conjunction with the economics department. The Business
School is a member of the Oxford Finance which co-ordinates
research in finance across the University, including the
departments of Economics, Law, Mathematics and Computing,
and Statistics as well as the business school (see
www.finance.ox.ac.uk for details). There are several
distinguished lecture programmes, conferences and visiting
professorships.
SALARY:
Negotiable.
