                     Faculty Position in Finance



     The Area of Finance invites applications for a tenure-track
     position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor
     starting in the fall of 2010. Area of interest is open, but
     our greatest teaching need is in the area of Financial
     Markets and Institutions.


     Review of applications will begin immediately and continue
     until the position is filled. We plan to interview at the
     American Finance Association meetings in Atlanta in January
     2010.



     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in finance or related
     discipline. Applicants at the Assistant Professor rank must
     demonstrate the capacity for research productivity and
     quality teaching. Applicants at the Associate Professor
     rank must have a record of quality research, teaching and
     service along with an active research pipeline and should
     indicate their interest in the higher rank when applying.



     ABOUT THE FINANCE AREA:


     The Area of Finance provides doctoral, master, and
     undergraduate programs and a successful candidate will be
     expected to contribute to all programs. The Area of Finance
     is one of five academic units in the AACSB accredited Rawls
     College of Business Administration. The Area has fourteen
     tenure-track faculty servicing undergraduate, MBA, MS, and
     PhD programs in finance. The area and college subscribe
     to all major databases (with access through WRDS) and
     provide an outstanding technology and computing
     environment. Current faculty members have recent
     publications in many of the leading journals including:
     Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Review
     of Financial Studies, Journal of Business, Financial
     Management, and Journal of Banking and Finance. Additional
