The Department of Finance at Auckland University of
Technology Business School invites applications for a
Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Finance.
ABOUT THE FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND LAW:
The Faculty of Business and Law has a reputation as a
leading provider of innovative business education, with
strong links to industry, employers and professional
bodies. The faculty has over 6000 students and over 160
academic staff. Our programmes include a very successful
Bachelor of Business, Masters' degrees (research and
course-work), MBA, and a growing PhD programme.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE:
The department of Finance is one of the leading departments
in New Zealand, ranked second based on the quality of its
research in the latest round of Performance Based Research
Fund conducted by NZ's Tertiary Education Commission. The
department has twelve full-time staff and several Ph.D
students. We provide research support and have access to
various data bases such as Datastream, CRICA, Compustat,
and OSARIS. The department is the home of NZ-Chapter of
Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The nature
of research carried out is mainly applied and our staff
publish in top international journals; for details please

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Due to growth we have positions at Lecturer and Senior
Lecturer (Assistant Professor) level available. Successful
applicants need to have either completed, or be near to
completing, a doctorate in Finance. We are looking for
people who are both excellent researchers and great
teachers. An ability to attract external research funding
is desirable.
