Post-Doctoral Position in Empirical Finance
The Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance at the
University of St. Gallen invites applications for a Post-
Doctoral Position in Empirical Finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position is specifically designed to attract research-
oriented scholars. The candidate is expected to conduct
high-quality empirical research and to interact with other
faculty members. Good writing and computing skills are
essential. Fluency in English is required, knowledge of
German is welcome. The position is free of administrative
duties and teaching obligations. If a small teaching load
is desired, this can be accommodated.
The appointment starts October 1, 2008, and is an untenured
post-doctoral position with a duration of two years. An
extension of the term is not excluded.
Salary (before taxes and pension contributions) is
approximately 70,000 Swiss Francs (approx. 70,000 USD).
