                Saudi Aramco Chair in Corporate Finance


      The Department of Finance and Economics at the King Fahd
      University of Petroleum & Minerals invites applications and
      nominations for a newly established Saudi Aramco endowed
      Chair in Corporate Finance.


      JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      The Chair holder is expected to be an outstanding scholar
      of international repute. He should have demonstrated
      evidence of a long tract record of research publications in
      high quality international refereed journals. He should be
      currently holding the rank of a full professor in the area
      of finance at a reputable University along with an
      established tract record of teaching and consultancy in
      areas related to finance in general and corporate finance
      in particular.


      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      The Chair holder will be responsible for, but not limited
      to, the following activities:

      - Give active leadership in enhancing excellence in
        research in corporate finance and capital markets in
        Saudi Arabia, the GCC region, and internationally.
      - Act as a mentor to the junior faculty research
        development and lead collaborative research teams to help
        the faculty publish in reputed international refereed
        journals.
      - Create and participate in research programs which have a
        special focus on topical issues in corporate finance.
      - Assist in organizing regular seminars/workshops/
        conferences/symposia (local, national, international).
      - Create, develop, guide and participate in short training
        courses offered by the Department of Finance & Economics
        in collaboration with other faculty members as well as
        the private and public sectors.
      - Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of
        finance in general and corporate finance in particular.
       - Offer technical and professional consulting assistance
        and services to both private and public sectors in Saudi
        Arabia.


      SALARY AND BENEFITS:

      Two-year renewable contract, competitive salary based on
      qualifications and experience, free furnished housing with
      free essential utilities and maintenance, and free medical
      care at KFUPM Clinic. Subject to University policy, the
      appointment includes the following additional benefits:
      round-trip air tickets to Dammam for the faculty and up to
      three of his dependents; tuition fees for school-age
      dependent children enrolled in local schools; local
      transportation allowance; two-month paid summer vacation,
      end-of-service benefits, and free access to recreation
      facilities. KFUPM campus has a range of teaching and
      research support facilities such as an extensive library
      acquisitions and library databases, computing facilities,
      smart classrooms, and research and teaching laboratories.
      The campus is within a very short distance from the cities
      of Dammam and Al-Khobar.

      In addition to normal university benefits, the endowed
      Chair is provided with the expenses involved in research
      assistance, secretarial support, and other operational
      activities.
