Financial Economist Capital Markets
The Abu Dhabi Investment Company (ADIC) invites
applications for a Financial Economist Capital Markets
reporting to the Sr. Vice-president - Risk Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement all risk management policies,
processes and controls for a comprehensive capital
markets and treasury function.
- Design and run multivariate economic and financial
forecasting models.
- Contribute to the design and valuation of complex
financial structures.
- Develop credit risk methodologies for trading and capital
markets activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. graduate or candidate in finance, economics,
statistics, mathematics, or econometrics.
Competencies:
- A very solid background in finance, statistics and
econometrics is essential. In particular, strong academic
and hands on experience in capital markets, financial
risk modelling, and econometrics is required.
- Advanced ability to use Windows-based applications
(including VBA programming) and a thorough knowledge of
Matlab, Eviews or similar mathematical and econometric
packages is necessary.
- Excellent English report writing and communication skills
are essential.
- Ability to work on his/her own initiative and in a
largely autonomous way.

on the risks the company incurs and advising on the
necessary economic capital levels.
