The Singapore Management University School of Business Research Paper Series aims to advance the School of Business at SMU as a prominent center for creating and disseminating original and insightful research on scholarly and applied business topics conducted by the School of Business faculty. The series serves as a platform for facilitating collaborative research by SMU faculty members and scholars worldwide, and connecting academic researchers with professional practitioners. SMU School of Business Research Paper series, thus, aspires to provide our faculty, students, and professional community a forum for fruitful exchange of ideas and thoughts. The papers are published electronically and are available online or through email distribution.
