CALL FOR PAPERS

                             SYMPOSIUM ON
          STOCHASTIC DYNAMIC MODELS IN FINANCE AND ECONOMICS

                         August 15 - 16, 2008
                University of Southern Denmark, Odense

                         Key note address by:
              Robert C. Merton, Harvard Business School,
                         Nobel Laureate (1997)


      The symposium will bring together researchers applying
      stochastic dynamic models in finance and/or economics.
      Relevant subject areas include, but are not limited to:
      asset pricing, consumption and portfolio choice, credit
      risk, real options, economic growth under uncertainty,
      monetary theory, business cycles.


      FORMAT OF THE SYMPOSIUM:

      A two-day meeting with a total of around 15 presentations
      of 30-60 minutes each. In addition to the key note address
      by Robert C. Merton, there will be presentations by Vicky
      Henderson (Warwick Business School), Thomas Lux (University
      of Kiel), Bernt Oksendal (University of Oslo), and maybe a
      few other invited speakers. The remaining presentations
      will be selected by the organizers on the basis of the
      papers submitted. The symposium takes place in the city of
      Odense, which with approximately 186,000 inhabitants is the
      third-largest city in Denmark. Odense is beautifully
      located on the island of Funen in the heart of Denmark.


      SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:

      We invite both academics and practitioners who are
      interested in presenting their research to submit a paper.
      Preference will be given to theoretical papers that suggest
      and explore new dynamic models of financial and economic
      issues or enhance the understanding of existing models.

      The submission deadline is May 30, 2008. Authors of
      accepted papers will be notified via e-mail by mid-June,
      where a preliminary program will become available.


      PARTICIPATION:

      A call for participation with the preliminary program and
      other relevant information will be distributed in June via
      the FEN and ERN Professional Announcements.
