2014 FIRS – Financial Intermediation Research Society Conference
Pre-announcement and Call For Papers
June 1-4, 2014, Quebec City, Canada
After eight successful conferences (Capri 2004,
Shanghai 2006, Anchorage 2008, Prague 2009,
Florence 2010, Sydney 2011, Minneapolis 2012, and
Dubrovnik 2013), the Financial Intermediation
Research Society (FIRS) is pleased to announce
that the next conference will be held in Quebec City, Canada, June 1-4, 2014.
You are kindly invited to submit papers to be
considered for presentation at the 2014 FIRS
Conference. As in past years, the conference will
cover a broad range of topics. Both theoretical
and empirical papers in all areas of finance are
welcome. It is anticipated that most participants
will be from universities, central banks,
regulatory agencies and international financial organizations.
PAPER SUBMISSIONS: The submission deadline is
November 1, 2013, and the submission fee is $50.
You must submit your paper on the conference
website given below, which will begin accepting
submissions on August 20, 2013. Authors will be
notified of the Program Committee's decision by January 2014.
CONFERENCE DETAILS: The conference will begin
with a reception the evening of Sunday June 1 and
conclude at lunchtime on Wednesday June 4. The
venue will be the Hilton Quebec
(http://www.hiltonquebec.com) which is just steps
from historic Old Quebec, the only fortified city
north of Mexico and the cradle of French
civilization in North America. The city is a
UNESCO World Heritage Treasure set high above the St. Lawrence River.
