The Centre for Applied Financial Studies at the School of Commerce, University of South Australia invites finance scholars, practitioners and research students to participate in the third annual conference on "Behavioural Finance and Capital Markets".

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW: Thursday morning will begin with an intriguing keynote delivered by distinguished scholar, Professor Peter Bossaerts addressing The Neurobiology Behind Financial Risk Taking. Professor Bossaerts is the William D. Hacker Professor of Economics and Management and Professor of Finance at the California Institute of Technology. Day two will see Professor Terry Walter present the keynote address on his topic, Towards a Set of Design Principles for Executive Compensation Contracts. Professor Walter is the Chief Research Officer at Sirca Limited and holds a fractional appointment as a Professor of Finance in the School of Finance and Economics at the University of Technology, Sydney.

In addition, the 2-day program includes presentations and discussions of seven other high quality papers from Australian and International scholars and ten poster presentations from current PhD students.

The conference will conclude with a tour of the widely renowned McLaren Vale wine region, offering a great networking opportunity and a taste of the region's best produce.
