Call For Research Papers
IThird CInSt Annual Banking Workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities"

The Center for Institutional Studies ( http://cinst.hse.ru), National Research University's Higher School of Economics (CInSt HSE), with the support of the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) ( http://www.suomenpankki.fi/bofit/Pages/default.aspx) organizes the 3rd Annual CInSt Banking workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities". The workshop will be held on November 15, 2013, in HSE, Moscow. It is aimed at bringing together scholars involved with various aspects of banking in emerging markets, including but not limited to those of Central and Eastern Europe, CIS countries, Latin America and China.
The organizing committee welcomes submissions of both empirical and theoretical research papers on the current issues concerning banking in these markets. Particular attention will be given to papers on regulatory challenges, on the influence of the global financial crisis on banks' choice of strategies and on changes in banking markets' structure.
Workshop's language is English.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: The full papers including authors' names, full addresses and emails should be sent to Maria Semenova (msemenova@hse.ru). Application deadline is July 20, 2013. Authors will be notified about the selection process results by early August, 2013.
