Eastern Finance Association (EFA) - April 2013 Meeting Results
The Eastern Finance Association (EFA) recently held its 49th Annual Meeting from April 10 - 13, 2013 in St. Pete Beach, Florida. With 265 papers in 90 academic sessions and two special sessions, it was a very interesting and informative meeting. The conference hosted 340 participants from all over the world. Professor Maureen O'Hara, Robert W. Purcell Professor of Finance at Cornell University, and Professor Mark J. Flannery, BankAmerica Professor of Finance at the University of Florida, were recipients of the 2013 Distinguished Scholar Award. Professor Flannery gave the keynote speech "Maintaining Adequate Bank Capital" at the membership luncheon on Friday, April 12.
RESEARCH PAPER AWARDS: The EFA awarded the following seven papers with outstanding research awards.
