Behavioral Finance and Capital Markets Conference
August 1-2, 2013, Adelaide, South Australia
The Centre for Applied Financial Studies at the School of Commerce, University of South Australia Business School is inviting finance scholars, practitioners and research students to participate in the specialised third conference on Behavioral Finance and Capital Markets. The conference will be held at the Rockford Hotel Adelaide, South Australia, August 1-2, 2013 and will be followed by a wine tour of Clare Valley on August 3.
OVERVIEW: The objective of this boutique conference is to present state-of-the-art research on topics related to behaviour finance and capital markets. Theoretical, empirical and experimental papers are equally welcomed. The conference organizing committee invites submissions of high-quality research papers addressing issues on either Behavioral Finance or Capital Markets/Market Microstructure. Distinguished scholars, Peter L. Bossaerts - a William D. Hacker Professor of Economics and Management and Professor of Finance (California Institute of Technology) and Terry Walter - a Professor of Finance (University of Technology Sydney) and the Equities Research Director at the Securities Industry Research Centre of Asia-Pacific (SIRCA), will deliver two intriguing keynote addresses on the topic.
The review process will determine the quality and suitability of submitted papers by a double-blind review process. The author(s) will be notified within two weeks of the submission due date. The submission deadline is 20 April 2013. Authors will be notified by 5 May 2013.
REGISTRATION OPTIONS:
Full early-bird registration (incl. all social events): AU$ 450 - Until June 15, 2013
PhD Student full early-bird registration (incl. all social events): AU$ 200 - Until June 15, 2013
Full late registration (incl. all social events): AU$ 500 - After June 15, 2013
PhD Student full late registration (incl. all social events): AU$ 250- After June 15, 2013
AWARDS: There are two research prize awards of $1,500 each for best papers in the following categories:
(i) The best paper presented by an Established Researcher;
(ii) The best poster paper presented by a PhD (HDR) student.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Interested scholars, practitioners and research students should submit two full copies or electronic files of their paper saved in PDF format as follows:
Copy 1: Title page showing the title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s) together with title, affiliation, email address, as well as the complete address of the author who will present the paper.
Copy 2: The title page should only show the title of the paper, excluding the author(s) information from the text and the properties of the PDF file.
