Call for Papers
The 1st Annual Conference in Foreign Exchange Markets

Imperial College Business School at Imperial College and the RML (Risk Management Laboratory) are inviting submission of papers to the First Annual Conference in Foreign Exchange Markets.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: We are delighted to have the following distinguished keynote speakers this year: Charles Engel - University of Wisconsin-Madison Hanno Lustig - University of California at Los Angeles.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE: The Conference is designed to bring together leading researchers in the field of International Finance in a stimulating research environment. The aim is to present and discuss recent advances on empirical models of exchange rate returns as well as to provide the basis for a fruitful debate among researchers, policy makers and market participants on future directions and challenging research questions in International Finance.

CONFERENCE THEMES: Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Economic fundamentals and currency risk premia
- Statistical and economic value of models of exchange rate predictability
- The revival of fundamentals based models of exchange rate determination
- New evidence from foreign exchange market microstructure

LOCATION: The conference will be held at Imperial College Business School in South Kensington, London.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Papers should be sent electronically (pdf versions only) no later than March 15 2013 to Tessa Ogden: t.ogden@imperial.ac.uk. All papers must be in English and must be accompanied by a 200 word abstract. The name of the file should be the surname of the submitting author.

PAPER SELECTION PROCESS: Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the group's discussion. The paper selection will be finalized by April 15, 2013.
