Call for Papers
Seventh Singapore International Conference on Finance
Organized by NUS Business School
The Business School, National University of Singapore, invites submission for the Seventh Singapore International Conference on Finance (SICF) to be held at the National University of Singapore on 7th and 8th August 2013. SICF is an annual global conference created to bring together a selected group of scholars to discuss their research findings.
SUBMISSION AND SELECTION PROCESS: Papers in all fields of finance are welcome. Please do not submit papers that are currently under Revise and Resubmit at any journal (or Reject and Resubmit) or papers that are accepted for publication in any journal. Preference will be given to papers that have not been presented at any past AFA or WFA.
All papers will undergo a blind review process under the supervision of the Paper Review Committee. A decision will be made known to authors of all papers beginning from April 2013 onwards.
Paper presenters may be requested to serve as discussants for other papers presented at the conference.
Please email your paper (pdf or Microsoft Word format) to sicf@nus.edu.sg. Please allow for editing of pdf or word files to allow for blind copies to be e-mailed to reviewers.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Presenters will be provided an honorarium towards travel and accommodation expenses that will be sufficient to cover travel and accommodation expenses. Presenters from Asia will receive an honorarium of US$1500, presenters from Australia and New Zealand will receive an honorarium of US$2000 and presenters from other parts of the world will receive an honorarium of US$ 2500. Presenters are expected to cover all hotel, travel and visa expenses in excess of the honorarium amount on their own, with the exception of Ph.D. students who may apply for additional funding if they can demonstrate that the total travel expenses significantly exceed the honorarium. Presenters from Singapore local universities (faculty or students) will not be eligible for any honorarium. All presenters are expected to stay for the entire two day duration. Presenters are expected to make their own arrangements for travel and stay.
DEADLINE: The submission deadline is Friday, 1st March 2013, 3am Eastern Standard Time (North America).
