9th Annual Asset Pricing Retreat

ORGANIZED BY: Alessandro Beber (Cass Business School), Joost Driessen (Tilburg University), and Ludovic Phalippou (University of Oxford)
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: John Campbell (Harvard) and Annette Vissing-Jorgensen (Northwestern)
OVERVIEW: The objective of the meeting is to bring together a small group of academic researchers in a stimulating and pleasant atmosphere. We hope to generate convivial interaction between academic researchers on all continents who share an interest in empirical asset pricing. The plan is to have 8 presentations followed by a discussion. In addition, there will be a conference dinner on Thursday evening.
Last year speakers were: Andrew Ang (Columbia), Pierluigi Balduzzi (Boston college), Michael Brandt (Duke), Anna Cieslak (Northwestern), Raman Uppal (EDHEC), Andrea Vedolin (LSE), Adrien Verdelhan (MIT) Pietro Veronesi (Chicago); and the discussants were: Mike Chernov (LSE), Frank DeJong (Tilburg), Robbert Dittmar (Michigan), Fabio Fornari (ECB), Anh Le (UNC), Philippe Mueller (LSE), Tarun Ramadorai (Oxford), Mungo Wilson (Oxford).
DETAILS:
- The workshop is kindly supported and hosted by the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance. June is a wonderful month to visit Oxford, so enjoy an early summer in one of the most historical cities in the world.
- There is no travel budget for speakers. However, for speakers and discussants, accommodation and the conference dinner are free of charge.
