Southern Finance Association 2013 Annual Meeting

November 20 - 23, Waldorf Astoria El Conquistador Resort, Fajardo, Puerto Rico

The Southern Finance Association invites you to participate in its 53rd annual meeting at the Waldorf Astoria El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico from November 20 - 23, 2013. Amidst a magnificent natural setting, 300 feet above the turquoise sea, El Conquistador Resort (http://www.elconresort.com) is a sprawling getaway like no other resort in the world. Highlights include a private island, an award winning golf course, a world of dining options, and an on-site water park.

CONFERENCE DETAILS: Fajardo is known as "La Metropolis del Sol Naciente" (the city that guards the sun of the Caribbean) and is just a 45 minute shuttle ride away from historic San Juan. Room rates for the conference start at $169 per night. Please note that Puerto Rico is a US territory, thus legal US residents do not need a passport or a visa since the flight is considered domestic.

The Southern Finance Association meets each year to foster scholarship, professional development and collegiality among academics, doctoral students and practitioners in finance. We invite you to participate in the 2013 meeting - to present your research, to discuss the research of others, to be a session chair and/or to serve on the program committee. Research manuscripts on any topic in finance will be considered for the program, along with proposals for special sessions, tutorials and panel discussions.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Submissions of papers or special session proposals should be made on the Southern Finance Association website (http://www.southernfinance.org). The submission deadline is Friday, March 1, 2013. All submissions must be made electronically in Adobe Acrobat format.
