Call for Papers
Pacific Conference on Finance and Investment

8th -10th May, 2013, Fiji National University, College of Business, Hospitality & Tourism Studies, Nasinu

Over the past decade, many developing countries, especially in the Caribbean and African regions have enjoyed sustained growth. However, the financial turmoil, originating in the developed world in August 2007, has since spread to developing countries, including those from Caribbean and African and Pacific region, rendering them vulnerable to the secondary effects of the global financial crisis.

OVERVIEW: In this Conference, we intend to discuss in detail the growth challenges of Pacific Island Economies and how the various factor and product markets are responding to address these challenges. In particular, we examine in detail, the financial sector. Stakeholders from sectors will present research papers while policy makers will provide their view on the research findings.

Researchers, policy analysts and policy makers, facilitators for governments, and staff of international financial institutions, donors, and non-state-actors are invited to submit papers to be presented over the three days. For further information, see below:
