Award Announcement - In Honor of Professor Stuart I. Greenbaum
AWARD DETAILS: The prize in the amount of $2,500 will be given to a Ph.D. student on the finance job market during academic year 2012-2013, whose dissertation demonstrates an outstanding insight and promise.
NOMINATIONS: We encourage finance faculty members to nominate their Ph.D. students for this award. Students cannot apply without the nomination of a faculty member. To nominate a student, a faculty member should send a short e-mail to Jennifer Schmich at: schmich@WUSTL.EDU, stating the name and affiliation of the student and the nominating faculty, with the student's job-market paper (possibly a preliminary version) attached. The deadline for nominations is October 10th, 2012.
FURTHER INFORMATION: Selection of the winner will be carried out in two stages. First, a panel of the Olin Business School finance faculty will determine the finalist students. Each of the finalists will be invited to participate in the 9th annual Olin Business School Corporate Finance Conference on November 8-10, 2012. Each finalist will give a short presentation of his/her paper with the aid of a poster to the conference participants in a special poster session on November 9, 2012. The winner will then be chosen by the conference participants.
The Olin Business School with the generous support of the Wells Fargo Advisors Center for Finance and Accounting will cover accommodations and airfare costs (up to $600 per participant) for the finalists participating in the conference.
