The Value Partners Center for Investing at HKUST is organizing a
one-day conference on China Securities Market and Valuation on
January 13, 2012. The Value Partners Center is under Department of
Finance of HKUST, with objectives to support research and training on
investing with emphasis on China and Hong Kong financial markets, and
to promote Hong Kong's role as the regional asset management center.
TOPICS: This conference aims to bring together academic researchers
and practitioners to discuss various issues related to China
securities market including but not limited to stock valuation,
accounting standard and regulation, earnings management, information
disclosure, corporate governance, market manipulation and monitoring,
asset management, mutual funds, ETFs, reminbi internationalization,
investor behavior and speculation, market liquidity and volatility.
Besides presentation by academic researchers, the conference will
organize a couple of panel discussion participated by academics and
practitioners.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Charles Lee, Joseph McDonald Professor of
Accounting, Stanford University will give the keynote speech at the conference
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Please send an electronic copy of your
paper to: vpcenter@ust.hk before September 15, 2012. All conference
participants will be responsible for their own expenses. We look
forward to an exciting conference and hope you will submit your paper
for consideration.
