2012 Annual Meeting of the European Finance Association
August 15-18, 2012, Copenhagen, Denmark
Open for submissions!
Members and friends of the European Finance Association are welcome to submit research papers to be considered for presentation at the 2012 Annual Meeting. Papers on any topic related to finance will be considered. Papers should be submitted electronically at the EFA 2012 conference web site, http://www.efa2012.org, which contains full instructions for paper submission, payment of the submission fee, and other instructions.
The deadline for submissions is midnight PST on March 1, 2012. Papers will be reviewed anonymously by two reviewers, and authors will be notified of the Program Committee's decisions in mid May 2012.
BEST PAPER AWARDS: We are delighted to announce the following Best Paper Awards:

- Commonfund Prize for best paper relevant to Foundation and Endowment - Asset Management Euro 3,000
- DONG Energy Prize for Best Paper related to Energy and Commodities Euro 3,000
- Best Doctoral Student Conference Paper Award Euro 3,000
OVERVIEW: The EFA 2012 Annual Meeting will be held at Copenhagen Business School, http://www.cbs.dk/en, which is located close to the Copenhagen city center. More information on the venue, and other conference related information, will be available at the conference website.
The Keynote Speaker of the 2012 Annual Meeting is Professor Darrell Duffie, Stanford University.
We are planning special events and tracks on Financial Frictions, Mortgage Systems and Products, Energy and Commodities, and Design of Pension Systems and Products. Based on a long-term agreement between the European Central Bank (ECB) and EFA, the plan is also to have a few special sessions on key finance research topics for central banks. The topics proposed by the ECB for the 2012 Annual Meeting are: Systemic Risk and Macroprudential Regulation, Fiscal Policy and Financial Instability, and Non-standard Central Bank Interventions. Paper submissions to these special tracks and sessions are encouraged, but the papers will pass the same submission and review process as regular paper submissions to the EFA 2012 Annual Meeting.
EFA DOCTORAL TUTORIAL: There will be a one-day EFA Doctoral Tutorial on Wednesday August 15, 2012, organized by co-chairs Loriana Pelizzon, Bruno Gerard, and Frans de Roon. Doctoral students should submit papers or proposals to be considered for presentation at the EFA Doctoral Tutorial via the EFA 2012 conference web site, http://www.efa2012.org, by March 1, 2012, (midnight PST) at the latest. Please consult the conference web site for further instructions.
