Call for Papers: CHINA CAPITAL MARKETS BEST PAPER AWARD

             TCFA 2008 ANNUAL CONFERENCE CALL FOR PAPERS:

                CHINA CAPITAL MARKETS BEST PAPER AWARD


      The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA -
      http://www.china-finance.org) is pleased to announce the
      third annual TCFA China Capital Markets Best Paper Award
      competition. We welcome high-quality research that studies
      key issues in the development of China's capital markets.


      TOPICS:

      Topics of interest include, but not limited to, asset
      pricing, corporate finance, the legal or accounting aspects
      of the capital markets, macroeconomic policies, market
      microstructure, risk management, and asset management. We
      encourage both academic and applied industry researchers to
      submit their unpublished papers for consideration. We
      especially welcome submissions on the comparative studies
      involving China and other developed or emerging markets.


      THE AWARDS:

      Best Papers in Investment:
      First ($3000), Second ($2000) and Third ($1000) prizes

      Best Papers in Corporate Finance:
      First ($3000), Second ($2000) and Third ($1000) prizes

      Winners will be invited for presentations at TCFA 2008
      Annual Conference. With the authors' permission, TCFA will
      also help revise their papers for publication in a leading
      Chinese academic journal.


      SUBMISSION AND REVIEWING PROCEDURE:

      Each submission should include two electronic files - one
      with the cover page only and the other with the abstract
      and the text of the paper. The first file containing the
      cover page should include the paper's title, the name and
      affiliation of each author, and each author's contact
      information. In the second file, all identification
      information of the authors should be removed, with the
      title and the abstract on the first page, and the body text
      starting from the second page. Electronic submission of PDF
      or Word documents is strongly recommended.

      All submitted papers will be evaluated by a Review
      Committee consisting of academics and industry researchers.
      The final outcome will be announced by the end of August,
      2008.

      Paper submission deadline is July 15, 2008.
